Our Leaders:
A Family-Led Foundation Built on Accountability
Leadership at Triple Crown Cages provides the vision, structure, and accountability behind everything we do. As a family-owned and operated business, Triple Crown Cages is led by brothers Ryan and Austin Cappas, alongside their father Wayne Cappas. Our leadership team is personally invested in the athletes, families, and community we serve, with a hands-on approach rooted in long-term commitment to local baseball and softball development.
While our coaches deliver instruction on the field, leadership is responsible for setting standards, building sustainable programs, and ensuring every athlete trains in an environment designed for growth, consistency, and opportunity.
The Team
Triple Crown Cages is led by the Cappas family, with brothers Ryan and Austin overseeing day-to-day operations and athlete development, and their father Wayne providing leadership support and guidance. Their involvement extends beyond the facility walls, remaining closely connected to local leagues, families, and the broader baseball and softball community.
Together, the leadership team oversees facility operations, program design, coaching standards, and the long-term direction of both Triple Crown Cages and Triple Crown Premier.
Wayne Cappas
Wayne Cappas brings over 30 years of experience in baseball as a hitting coach and manager across various leagues and travel baseball programs. A former junior college player, Wayne has long been dedicated to developing athletes while fostering strong relationships within the local baseball community.
Beyond the field, Wayne offers extensive startup and operational leadership experience, having helped build and scale multiple service-based organizations from the ground up, growing teams from zero to over 100 employees. His background includes guiding early-stage businesses through periods of growth, building operational structure, and supporting sustainable, people-first organizational development.
At Triple Crown Cages, Wayne serves as a strategic advisor, providing leadership guidance rooted in both athletic development and real-world business operations. His combined experience allows him to support long-term planning, organizational growth, and community-focused decision-making while empowering the next generation of leadership to execute day-to-day operations.

He works closely with athletes at every stage, from youth development to college-level players and select professional athletes, with a strong passion for mentoring driven individuals who aspire to reach the next level.
